"Do not tread within the forest...For the Witch walks through there.
Do not tread within the forest...She will Strip your Bones bare.
Do not tread within the forest...Her enchantments Await to snare.
Do not tread within the forest...You will Never be found in Her lair.
Do not tread within the forest...For the Witch walks through there."

No one ventured into the Lost Woods just north of the Kokiri Forest, few foolish souls daring to enter and never being seen again. The inhabitants of the nearby villages knew quite well what lied within--monsters awaiting in the maze-like structure that hid many secrets.

"I've seen a witch," a farmer whispered in hushed tones, "She take the form of a horse and stalks the woods at night."
"It's no witch," another retorted, "It's a Warlock that takes the form of a beautiful creature so he can trap you and sacrifice you as an offering to Ganondorf!"
"Hush," a women would plead, "Whatever it is, I tell my children not to venture into the Lost Woods at night."

He knew quite well all the whispering of the Hyrule people, somewhat amused at their variation of his person. He cared not for what they called him--stallion, mare...witch, warlock--it mattered little. He could be all of these and none; the Hyrule people saw what they desired to see. Whatever they called the hermit was nothing of bother, allowing him to continue in his self-exile in peace.

I really should be finishing my paper for class but luckily I can pump out the needed pages in an hour or less. (Thank Goodness for Outlines and Planning.) Anyway, mainly because I wanted to get my own attempt of this beautiful boy up--my Oni Warmblood Import via TheGlobeTrotter, Tacitus. (His general information can be found in my Scraps.) Overall, he primarily calls the Lost Woods his home and lives in hermit fashion--slightly introverted from even his own kind. He's mistaken for shy which at times he is but is actually uncomfortable in large groups though can grow use to it if one were to be patient and not push him. It's rather all about conditioning him to become use to one's presence if they desire him to join them or at least get close. If that barrier is broken, one can find he's actually quite empathetic and touch-starved--Tacitus going out of his way to groom, nuzzle or offer himself in any manner of comfort.

He may well meet Vidarr alot. And in some what Vid's a lot like him, save for he speaks in the manner 'actions are louder then words.".

I wouldn't doubt too much on that part. Though yeah, that's probably the opposition of them is that not an "action" doer as Vidarr but a watcher unless he feels he has to do something or someone's been around long enough to be able to request him to do something. If not, everything is solitude and keeping to himself in the Lost Woods with the company of the local animals and plants as his neighbors while content to be thought of as a "Witch" haunting the woods.

Aye. Vidarr is more of the Guardian. Only pulling into an explosive temper when threatened or confronted in the wrong manner, which is rare in and of itself--thank god. He's usually content to hang with Paylag or eventually Tacitus later on down the line.

Tacitus would probably be the "Witch Doctor" or Silent Hermit in any case--if he had a specific title. In regards to Vidarr, which would be no surprise, he'd be highly submissive but feels he's low on ranking with just about anyone due to his introvert nature but he's okay with that. Even then, seeing Vidarr getting that angry would probably not help his discomfort levels of being around others or have him shying away all over again. Though, with all that crossfire done, he's eventually get use to it if it happened again and be willing to stay put instead of shrink back into his exile.

Only good thing with Vidarr going 'rage table flip' mode is that is take an extreme amount of one thing or another for him to snap. Patience of Jobe if you will. Half the time, if he's not wandering, he sits like a statue and observes. Though since I've made him on FH, mares really do shy away from him, as well as predators, so him flipping his shit is rare.

Well, at least that's a less likely chance of spooking Tacitus back to dwelling away from everyone again. Though, yeah, that's pretty much how Tacitus is--observing and still as a statue with the benefit that he can't actually speak unless he gets a vessel to speak through. (Which, again, is a plus in not being able to speak--means more people leave you alone if you can't communicate with them unless they are that stubborn.) Though, unlike Vidarr, he rarely wanders outside the Lost Woods or ghostly haunts of Hyrule--the more place to keep him in the dark, the better.

Vidarr was like that in the sticking to one spot thing. However, something caused him to snap and after he collected himself, he realized "not in the swamps anymore. Screw it, going to explore" which had Paylag coming after him later on.

It would be difficult for Tacitus to do such a thing as snapping on anything to get him to leave the Lost Woods--so, he'd require persuasion in order to step foot outside of it or the area. If and when he does somehow manage to do so, it will be more placed on his shoulders that he's shy when he's just extremely uncomfortable. Hence why he's wander off to some shady spot to be alone if given the chance to at least steady himself or task himself with herb hunting to relax himself.

Though, once a stranger comes that hasn't given him enough time to become acclimated to their presence he'll bolt to the nearest forest or rush back to Vidarr and hide.
